Problem
Many Mumbaikars and visitors see only a fraction of the city, missing its layered heritage and emotional depth. There was a need for a way to rediscover Mumbai through a lens of nostalgia and love.
Insight
Mumbai is not just a city but a memory. Every sound, signboard, and street corner carries a story that connects people to its spirit.
Big Idea
Mumbai Darshan is a bilingual deck of 52 illustrated playing cards that takes you on a nostalgic journey through the city. Each suit represents a different side of Mumbai, from colonial icons to modern marvels. The visuals share a warm, nostalgic tone with a consistent sky colour. Numbers are styled like vintage door plates, and bilingual Marathi–English text reflects the city’s character. The mirrored back design of the Mumbai peninsula allows the deck to be used in either direction.
A keepsake for locals and visitors alike, the deck turns Mumbai’s landmarks into moments you can hold, play with, and remember.
